CRAFTED BODY THERAPIES
I am a naturopath, a certified Esalen® therapist, an advanced Theta Healer practicioner and a choreographer. I use my dance skills to give crafted body therapies. Mixed with Deep Body Work, Theta Healing and Bach Flowers my Esalen® massage is both a powerful healing practice and a form of art.
My name is Giulio, I am an Italian healing artist and choreographer based in Amsterdam. My interest in the body with its healing and artistic potential started very early in my life. At the age of 10 I started to develop a severe scoliosis. Since then I started to practice therapeutic techniques and dance to avoid an extreme surgical procedure. With the pass of time dance and therapy have become not only a need but also my biggest passions. I have explored and experienced several dance techniques, Yoga, studied Naturopathy and Theta Healing. In the last 15 years I have been active as choreographer using therapeutic processes as a way to create dance theatre works. Several of my creations have encountered the enthusiasm of public and art critic as they manage to touch and move a broad audience.
I have followed diploma courses in Naturopathy, Bach Flowers therapy, Theta Healing, Classic massage, Dance and choreography and in 2019 I have graduated from a special 175hrs Esalen® program taught in Bali by Esalen Institute faculty member Ellen Watson. Esalen® is still not well-known in Europe and I am very happy to help spreading this fantastic therapeutic approach that addresses the body in a truly holistic way.
Within the Esalen® healing art I found the right dimension where all my skills and knowledge as a movement artist and naturopath merge together. My natural empathy and my experience in the moving arts are the special elements that allow me to offer a personalized session to each client. I believe that the body has great potentials for healing, developing and supporting our paths in life. I love to support clients in unlocking those potentials and finding strength and a deep sense of connections within themselves. My work aims at connecting and strengthening a sense of identity and comfort within the body and supporting the process in personal life challenges, whether they are physical or emotional. I strongly believe in the power of touch and contact and I am always extremely rewarded by witnessing the transformative effects on the clients.
My Esalen® sessions are often perceived like being taken into a dance where the client is discovering a high sense of pleasure and comfort. The connection with different people on such vulnerable and intimate level nurtures both my therapeutic skills and dance creative process.
In my studio I like to offer large slots of time to client and let them experience my own interpretation of the Esalen® healing art fused with Deep Pressure Body work, Aromatherapy, Bach Flowers Remedies and heat therapy. These techiniques help me to focus on connecting with the nervous system of the client to facilitate a deep and pleasurable relaxation while allowing for a muscular release.
